Clensey Lane has been partially refurbished as briefed by Cllr Alexander Maughan earlier in the year.
There are three sections that have been worked on.
- Section between Little Gates and the Railway Bridge (Top Dressed).
- Railway Bridge (resurfaced to a good standard).
- Section adjacent to the turn into Dry Doddington (Top Dressed).
The Railway Bridge section has brand new tarmac and done to a good standard. Section 3 is also done to a reasonable standard. However section 1, the Littlegates section to the Railway Bridge is somewhat disappointing (see images).
Personally, as it stands I would not recommend driving down this road in a passenger car.
Pictures below are of the Littlegates to Railway Bridge section which has top dressing only, you can see that there are potholes. What has systematically damaged the road?
