I can imagine Fenton Road is going to get very busy when Shire Lane closes for short periods during Persimmons construction of hundreds of homes at Fernwood.
On a personal note, I don’t think the road is adequate to take the projected diverted traffic. Reasons:
- Not wide enough.
- Not durable to withstand heavy vehicles.
- No passing places.
Of course I could be the only one that thinks this, but here are some pictures taken today of damage with occasional, but heavy traffic. If you believe there is a case to answer, I would suggest writing to the District Councillor.
