VILLAGE PLANTING SCHEME Motion: To Resolve to approve planting scheme & sum to be spent on summer bedding plants for open spaces in the village.
Good to see £100 was unanimously voted in tonight for planting to improve the beauty of the village. The crossroads is in need of some of this cash. Unfortunately, it wasn’t decided who would do the planting or that was my impression. If SPC don’t have a solution – happy to help with this task.
EDIT (14 May 2025): Daughter said she noticed a silver haired lady planting the central green today.
The PC meeting went off on a tangent at this point and discussed the village sign project, which culminated in the possibility of a bench project. However, I do like the idea of a laser cut bench commemorating Stubton, especially at the price suggested. Will follow this one with interest.
