Home Farm Drain
EDIT: 24 September 2024 – it looks like the constant requests have achieved something today. A gang came out to clear three storm drains, unfortunately not the one adjacent to Home Farm. However, the guys agreed to have a look at this one, as we explained the others had already been done earlier in the year.
EDIT: March 31 2024 – Huge thanks to Anglian Water for helping to clear two of the storm drains!
As we are all aware the storm drains on Fenton Road (3 + St Martin’s Close) are blocked with silt and leaves. This clearly was apparent during the recent heavy rains and historical rains over the last 2 years.
The blockages have been reported numerous times to the following agencies:
- FIX MY STREET (at least 4 times over the last two years).
- CLLR ALEXANDER MAUGHAN
- PARISH COUNCIL
However, it wasn’t until Max contacted Anglian Water and asked them politely to clear the worst affected drains was action undertaken. They did not action the one near the Bus Shelter, but she has since been promised that this will also be cleared.
