During the opening statements of this video, I thought of Stubton, as there are some elements in our village who have done their utmost to divide our village and ignore democracy.
Just a quick reminder, a village wide survey was conducted earlier in the year and the majority of residents expressed their wish to see the Union Flag flying on the village flag pole. Instead the village “dividers” managed by the Parish Council chose otherwise.
I wonder if we can get into national headlines if the story was shared with news outlets?
Overall, the attached video is quite depressing with extremes of opinion, with common sense a compromise could easily have been reached. I don’t think of our flag as representing any subdivision in the UK as suggested in the video, just our country!
As an aside, flags flown should be in good condition, as it is illegal to fly ripped or torn flags.
