I have removed all previous posts on this subject (as this is the current situation) decided upon by SPC.
The Parish Council on the 15th September made the decision on the show piece “village sign” after asking the village residents what they would like to see. Examples of the choices were available to assist those with a view.
It will be a laser cut metal sign of a reasonable size, positioned on the village green, depicting the St Martin’s church, plus a reference to Domesday. I believe the cost was just over £2000 and unfortunately there was little success with a grant application to help offset costs.
I am sure the SPC website will show an image of the chosen design very soon and more detail.
