There seems to be some confusion in the village at the moment. Several residents — including one who emailed many of us yesterday — are asking what is happening with the field on the Coach Road.
The Parish Council has a meeting scheduled for Monday the 8th at 8pm to outline its intentions regarding adverse possession. Yet, around the same time the meeting was announced, the field was suddenly fenced off. It’s still unclear who put the fence up, or why it has now been taken down again, leaving the rails scattered across the ground.
On a positive note, it appears the original farmer has cut the field for hay, which may remove the need for the Parish Council to manage it — and potentially make the planned meeting unnecessary.
