The Coach Road, which is a Restricted Byway, has been made impassable to motorised vehicles by the placement of concrete blocks (see images).
It appears this may have been done by a farmer to stop quad bikes being ridden across tilled and newly planted corn fields.
For clarity, here is the Ordnance Survey definition of a Restricted Byway:
A Restricted Byway is a public right of way that allows non‑motorised travel only. It can be used on foot, on horseback, by bicycle, or with a horse‑drawn carriage. Motorised vehicles are not permitted.
