Coach Road – Restricted Byway

It has been reported that the Coach Road which is a Restricted Byway has been made impassable to motorised vehicles with Concrete Blocks.

I can only surmise this has been done by a farmer to prevent indiscriminate riding of quad bikes over tilled and planted corn fields.

Here is the definition of a Restricted Byway from the Ordnance Survey.

A restricted byway, as defined by Ordnance Survey, is a type of public right of way that allows non‑motorised travel only.

You may use a restricted byway on foot, on horseback, by bicycle, or with a horse‑drawn carriage. You cannot use any motorised vehicles on this route.
