1. Start – Coach Road (Restricted Byway)
Leave Stubton on Doddington Lane and turn right (WEST) on the Coach Road (approximately 0.35 mile from Stubton).
2. Path to Clensey Lane from the Cross Roads Junction
Continue along the byway until you reach the Cross Roads and turn left on the path leading to Clensey Lane (assuming this link is open).
3. Clensey Lane
On reaching Clensey Lane, turn left back towards Stubton.
“Cross Roads” NOTE: If you proceed past the “Cross Roads” and over the railway bridge there is an unmarked footpath that follows the railway cutting back to Claypole. If cleared, this footpath would provide a direct walking route to Claypole, which is especially useful now that the western path from the Cross Roads is closed.
Also, the turning to the right at the Cross Roads is still closed as the railway crossing remains closed to walkers.
