Parish Council GDPR data breach!

The Parish Council (first level government) has decided to use a none GDPR approved method of sending information to the village (village email system). Hopefully, they read this post as the two attachments below discus how emails should be used. All they have to do is register webspace with an approved .gov.uk address (very straightforward process) and then use the correct email protocols.

NB: An email was sent from someone with the “PC G-mail Clerk address”, to all those subscribed to the “village” email system with a “TO address” and not even BCC’d today. This is crazy, anyone can proclaim to be the clerk or a councillor using a G-mail account and send it to all – no one would know any different – stay vigilant and beware of scams.

The Parish Council needs to understand its own GDPR Policy, as this is a clear data breach. Link to their policy.
